The Ernest L. Wilkinson Student Center has some great technology in it, specifically in the restrooms. I'll tell my audience now that this is a bathroom post, so if you find that you are particularly squeamish or if you have a pacemaker, I recommend you stop reading now.
So, I entered that restroom today and I stepped into a very roomy stall. I'm used to the ones upstairs in the Wilk that open inward so when you step in and attempt to close it you find that you are very much in the way and immediately resolve to lose weight. I was pleasantly surprised when this stall opened outward and was a cinch to close. I then took a seat. The automatic toilet thought I was done and flushed in one of the most violent ways I've ever experienced. I think you can all understand what I went through at that time. A few moments later, what sounded like a group of two or three other students entered the room. One young man found his place in the stall directly to my left. He slammed his door and I watched as my loosely latched door creaked open. My instincts said jump up and close that door. I did, but I regret that decision. Later, I found out that the toilet paper dispenser has a motion detector that, when activated, relays a portion of tissue and then stops. This is how I imagine it was supposed to work, but not today. I placed my hand near the sensor and it poured out so much paper that there was not room enough to receive it. I hit it many times and it stopped. I had a good time in the Wilk.

during this time did you experience the new hand dryers? The ones that moves your skin and makes your veins go back and forth? It's kind of scary but very efficient and eco friendly.
technology is scary sometimes.
