I did a 5k on Thanksgiving this year. I got 156th. The crowds were so big that I don't think I can put an exact number on the amount of participants, but my educated guess would be somewhere around 7,000 runners. Suddenly 156th doesn't seem so bad, does it?
These are just some of the guys I ran it with this year. They really needed someone to help pace them, so I went ahead and stepped up to the challenge.
