It would appear that I am infatuated with obscure celebrations in the month of September. Well, I am. Yesterday, September 17th 2008, I celebrated the signing of our nation's Constitution. 221 years ago thirty-nine bro's gathered and signed that sucker. That "sucker" changed the course of history. Anyway, I don't care how you all chose to celebrate this great day, but I spent a little over an hour listening to a panel of four men battle verbally. I feel like I would have been just as satisfied (if not more) by watching those same four men run on treadmills. Debates always seem to end the same in my eyes, those debating are not persuaded in the least to change their views and most of them leave more angry, sweaty and cynical than when they started. This Debate was different...it ended with refreshments. Thanks BYU.
